Heading for the new syllabus

2019年10月から試験シラバスも改訂になり、これからCIAを目指す人のための適切な独学テキストを入手するのがなかなか大変だと思います。そんな中で最近周囲で話をしていると、GLEIMに取り組んでいる下記のような知人、友人を時々見かけるようになりました。

①監査と無関係の部門にいるが、いずれグローバル監査部門でのキャリアを目指したい
②グローバル企業の管理部門から内部監査部門に異動になった
③海外の営業拠点から帰任と同時に内部監査部門に配属になった
④グローバル企業の監査部門で昇格したのでフレームワークについて学びなおしたい
⑤将来監査役・委員を目指しており、広い視点からオーバーサイトできるようになりたい

④の方はちょうどプログラムを検討中だったのでこのページのGLEIM割引リンクを紹介したところ、割引分で教材の国際宅配料が浮いた、と喜んでおられました。その後ときどき相談をうけるのですが、下記だけは実行するようにとアドバイスしています。

・まずカウンセラーに学習プランを相談すること。(英語のやりとりですが）
・テストの回答だけでなく、コンセプトの把握に集中すること。（ノートが有効）
・必ずテストバンクで正答率９０％達成してから受験すること。(受験は日本語でもOK)

私は3年ほどかける中で、②から⑤へと動機が移り変わっていきましたが、思わぬ機会に恵まれ、CIA取得して本当に良かったです。①～⑤のような方にはGLEIMをお勧めします。

The exam syllabus has been revised since October 2019, and I think it will be difficult to obtain the appropriate texts for those who are aiming for CIA. While talking with people around me recently, I sometimes see the following acquaintances and friends working on GLEIM.

Type①Currently with a department unrelated to auditing, but with a desire to aim for a career in the global audit department

Type② Transferred from the management department of a global company to the internal audit department

Type③  Transferred to the internal audit department right after returned from an overseas office

Type④ Need to learn about the Internal Audit Framework as promoted to be the head of internal audit department

Type⑤ Aiming to be a Statutory Auditor/Audit Committee Member in the future, and oversight the company from a broad perspective.

As I met a person of type ④ who has started to consider the CIA review program, so when I introduced the GLEIM discount link on this page, his international courier fee portion for the training material was covered with the discount. After he had started, my advice from time to time is like the following.

・First, consult your counselor on your study plan by mail.

-Focus on understanding the concept, not just the test answers. (Notes are valid)

・Be sure to take the test after achieving 90% of correct answers in the test bank.

Over the course of three years, my motivation changed from Type② to Type⑤, but I was blessed with an unexpected opportunity, and it was really good to have obtained the CIA. We recommend GLEIM for people like Type① to Type⑤.
